Recreational Education Center (REC) -
Peabody, MA and Londonderry, NH
Camp REC is a ABA-based program uniquely crafted and designed to meet the needs of each individual. The plan can incorporate all aspects of educational and social development. All of our programming is conducted systematically with a focus on embedding skill development into play activities and the natural environment. We place an emphasis on promoting social interactions, increasing functional communication, and developing play and leisure skills. Our summer is designed around weekly themes and activities are addressed in each of our specifically designed centers. Each REC location (Peabody, MA and Londonderry, NH) offers large indoor playgrounds, multi-sensory art rooms, a kitchen, and play and pretend rooms. Teens and young adults have their own space in the Teen Center. We also have outdoor spaces including fenced-in playgrounds and sports fields.

Low student to staff ratio to ensure for the most effective services. 3-22 and with varying disabilities Camp REC runs for 12 weeks during the summer; a full day is 9am-3pm and there is a half day option, 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm. Peter Pan Center -
Boxborough, MA
Peter Pan has been helping kids with social-emotional learning since 2002. The profile of my students include AD/HD, NLD, Autism Spectrum, Sensory and Anxiety. Our students have only mild social difficulties as our program does not have the ability to provide services for children with profound needs. Recreational. The program is customized to the interests of the children that attend. Typically, these are activities that include Legos, Star Wars, Pokemon, Building and Technology. We have a large recess room for gross motor recess games and access to a local elementary school playground.

1:4 ratio 7-12 with some flexibility for 6 or 13 depending on student's needs and abilities.  Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays from 12:30-4:00 PM (1/2 days only) 6 weeks from July 11th through August 24th (no program week of 8/15) $180 for all three afternoons per week or $60 per afternoon. We do not accept insurance but flexible spending accounts have covered as well as the Autism Waiver or other sources of funding. The Paul Center -
Chelmsford, MA
Summer Extended School Year (ESY) Program: Open to students with disabilities age 5 – 22. The focus of this program is to continue to work on IEP goals and to help prevent regression of skills learned throughout the school year. The outdoor environment combined with special education staff, make this program a unique educational program. In addition to working on IEP goals to prevent regression of skills, students develop friendships, support networks, and social skills. The ESY Program is a six-week/full-day program which typically runs from mid-June until early August.

Empow Studios -
Back Bay, Belmont, Brookline, Cape Cod, Lexington, Newton, and Westford, MA
Empow Studios is an enrichment camp that teaches kids to design, build, and code in a project-based learning format. Kids create projects in Video Game Design, Robotics, Animation, Coding, 3D Modeling & Printing, Minecraft, Music Production, Video Production, and more.

The BRIDGE Center- Camp Discover - Bridgewater, MA

Camp Discover is open to all children and young adults ages 4-22, regardless of the nature or severity of their disabilities. Campers enjoy therapeutic recreation and traditional playtime activities in a supportive, small group environment. Throughout each weekly session, staff work with campers to assure that each participant is able to successfully navigate the day by assisting with activities of daily living, implementing behavior plans, and facilitating friendships. Each camp group is provided a schedule and campers are encouraged to participate in as many activities as possible.

The BRIDGE Center VIP - Bridgewater, MA

VIP is a weekly camp for teens and adults with high functioning disabilities that are interested in developing self-confidence, leadership skills, communication skills to better prepare for a volunteer or paid work position. VIP campers will have the opportunity to engage in a supervised and structured camp experience where they will volunteer around campus and work on leadership and independent living skills. The VIPs will also spend part of their camp day enjoying the fun of summer camp while enjoying the pool, sports, archery and more. On Thursdays, VIP campers that have exhibited appropriate and responsible behaviors will enjoy a field trip off campus to a local organization where they will learn about volunteer/job opportunities that they can pursue after camp, as well as community based recreation activities. All camp activities and trips will focus on teamwork, communication, and social skills. Campers are provided supports depending on their individual needs and are supported by our trained, professional staff in a 1:4 or 1:5, camper to counselor ratio.

The BRIDGE Center
Horse Camp - Bridgewater, MA

Horse Camp is designed for those campers ages 8-14 that love the barn, animals and especially horses! Horse campers will spend the majority of their camp day in our state-of-the-art Riding Center where they will help care for the animals including grooming, feeding, paddock cleaning, and tack care. Different than all other camps, horse campers will enjoy a riding lesson each day! In the afternoon, horse campers will get to enjoy other aspects of The Bridge Center’s campus including swimming, arts and crafts, music, games and more!

Camp Triumph -
North Reading, MA (J.T. Hood Elementary School), Bedford, MA (John Glenn Middle School)
Camp Triumph is a therapeutic day camp for special needs students.  We support children with a variety of social and emotional disabilities.  Our campers have diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder, anxiety disorders, mood disorders and other neurodevelopment disabilities.  In general our program is geared to students with average cognitive ability who have at least low average expressive and receptive language skills. Camp Triumph provides a very structured program that focuses on building social skills as well as emotional and behavioral regulation skills.  We are primarily a social/recreational program that supports campers as they participate in activities including sports, cooperative games, arts & crafts, indoor games, swimming and field trips.  We have the ability to provide some academic tutoring as an-add on service.

 1:4 ratio Young child camp ages 4-6, lder child camp ages 6-16 

Young child camp ages 4-6 runs from 9am-12pm, Mon-Thur. Older child camp ages 6-16 runs from 9am-3pm, Mon-Thurs and Friday from 9am-12pm. Camps run for 8 weeks. Summer is broken into 3 periods. Campers are required to come for a minimum of one full period but they can attend for all 3 if they wish. Period 1: June 26 - July 14, Period 2: July 17 - Aug 4, and Period 3: Aug 7 - Aug 18.

 
$1,895.00 for a 3-week session, $1,395 for a 2-week session, $725 for individual weeks. Insurance will not pay for Camp Triumph.  Download an application from our website www.triumphcenter.net or call our office at 781-942-9277 to request a paper application.  Families must submit an application prior to May 1st. Spotlight - West Peabody, MA, Covenant Christian Academy, 83 Pine Street

Therapeutic, drama-based social pragmatics groups for ages 9-22 with social-emotional challenges, such as Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression and related diagnoses. In addition to the intensive practice of social skills through drama and improvisation, participants also produce a short film with fellow group members and participate in activities such as special interest clubs, swimming and weekly field trips.

imply Social Kids - Tyngsboro, MA

Simply Social Kids is a unique, non-clinical social skills program for kids ages 5-adult to help them learn: 

Friendship Skills, Empathy & Respect, Communication/Conversation, Emotion Management, Conflict Resolution, Transitioning, Sportsmanship,  Impulse Control, Flexibility, Body Language, Executive Function, Perspective Taking, Bullying Prevention, Kindness and more. Our friendly, sensory simple, accepting environment offers a balanced hybrid of structured social lessons and unstructured socialization practice with peers.  The culture and activities are infused with elements of positive psychology which are proven to increase optimism.  Kids who attend Simply Social Kids have shown their ability to generalize learned social skills into recess, lunch, family, and community gatherings.

One Social Coach and one adult assistant for up to 10 kids.  We serve children ages 5-17 in the social groups.  We have other programs that can serve older children and adults. The children are grouped by age ranges 5-7, 8-11, and 12+  June 24-August 22, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Weekday times are 4:15-5:15pm, 5:30-6:30pm, and 6:45-7:45pm and Saturdays are 9-10am, 10:15-11:15am and 11:30am-12:30pm. Times start with the younger children and end with the teens.   $300 for 8 weeks plus $60 non-refundable registration fee (reg. fee waived for currently enrolled families). Families are encouraged to contact Spotlight to discuss partial sessions to accommodate their vacation plans. We do not accept insurance because we are social coaches and not mental health providers. Windrush-Pony Pals - N. Andover, MA

Clients ages 6 to 12 learn horsemanship and riding skills in this five-day program.  This structured summer program matches clients based on age and riding ability to promote fun and safety in a social setting while teaching basic horsemanship skills and balance seat through advanced techniques in horse management and riding appropriate to the level of each group. This program is open to anyone within the age range who has the stamina to learn what it is like to own their own pony for a week, 8:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, during the summer – with or without special needs.
